Important information regarding renewals

We are fast approaching a peak period for insurance renewals in the local councils sector. Here’s what you can do to make sure your BHIB Councils Insurance policy remains in force at this critical time

  • Let us know as soon as you can, preferably before renewal date that you wish to renew your policy. Fill in the simple form below or drop us an email at
  • You do not need to pay your renewal premium to renew your policy.  Ideally payment should be received by the renewal date of your policy but we understand that it may not now be as easy to get cheques and payments authorised due to remote working practices. As long as we know that you wish to renew we can sort payment at a later date.
  • If at all possible please pay us by BACS rather than cheque. The office is currently running with minimal staff making it a challenge to check which councils have paid us by cheque. If you have sent a cheque or cannot pay by BACS you MUST let us know you wish to renew your policy so we can continue cover for you.
  • Policies for Councils in a 3 year long term agreement will automatically renew so just arrange to get payment to us as soon as you can.
  • This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
